APPOINTMENT
CHECKLIST

Please read through and follow these requirements to prepare for your appointment.

all appointments

✻ Be well rested.

✻ You must have your valid drivers license or state issued ID.
I won’t be able to tattoo you without one.

✻ Make sure that you are hydrated and have eaten something before you arrive. You may bring a drink with you to your appointment but please do not bring food.

✻ Please do not come more than 10 minutes early, or 15 minutes late. (Lateness Policy) I pack my days very tightly and need the time in between appointments to recharge and/or eat. If I can get you in earlier than your appointment time, I’ll text you! :)

✻ Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment time, and avoid caffeine the day of. This can thin your blood and cause excessive bleeding. After your appointment is okay!

✻ Avoid any type of blood thinning medication for at least 72 hours before your procedure UNLESS IT IS UNSAFE TO DO SO FOR YOUR HEALTH. Please ask your doctor before stopping any medication and if you are advised against doing so, you are not a good candidate for this procedure. Medications include but are not limited to blood thinners, ibuprofen, aspirin, niacin, fish oil supplements and vitamin e. If you have any concerns about a medication you’re taking - make sure to talk to your doctor.

✻ Please do not bring more than one friend/family member to your appointment. Bringing a friend for support is perfectly fine, but I like to maintain a calm energy in my studio during appointments. Sometimes if there are too many people, there are too many distractions and that can be quite stressful for me.

✻ Do not come if you are sick. Not only do I not want to catch whatever bug it may be, but being sick will cause excess sensitivity and your lowered immune system will cause issues with the healing process - which will yield poor healed results. If you need to cancel due to illness, cancel your appointment via the link in your confirmation email and we can reschedule once you’re feeling better. :)

✻ If you get cold easily, bring a sweater or small blanket! We keep the studio a little chilly, so if you tend to get cold I recommend bringing your favorite cozy item.

Do not bring children to your appointment. ***TO ANY TYPE OF APPOINTMENT, THIS INCLUDES CONSULTATIONS*** Children are not allowed in the studio, and are also very distracting. If you lose childcare for the time of your appointment, you will have to reschedule.

✻ Avoid sun exposure and tanning bed use for at least 2 weeks before your appointment and 6 weeks after. Tattooing sunburned or otherwise traumatized skin can result in excess sensitivity, difficulties during the healing process, fallout of pigment among other issues. Don't forget - excessive sun/tanning bed exposure will result in premature fading.

✻ Avoid sunless tanners and spray tans for at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you must do it yourself by selecting the CHANGE/CANCEL APPOINTMENT button in your appointment confirmation email.
Select to cancel the appointment (even if you want to reschedule) and then you will need to either text or email me to let me know when you are feeling better and ready to reschedule. If you do not send a follow up message about rescheduling, I am to assume that you do not want to reschedule. If you do not cancel your appointment that will be considered a no call/no show and those policies will apply. Please also make sure to be familiar with the cancellation policy.

Payment

information

✻ Full remaining amount is due at the time of service.

✻ I accept cash and card payments.
Cash is preferred, but either is totally fine! Please be aware that for card payments you will be charged a processing fee (The Gloss Genius processing fee is 3.5%.) I do not accept checks.

FOR EYEBROW

APPOINTMENTS

✻ Do not wear heavy eyeshadow or foundation to your appointment.

✻ If you would like for me to see how you normally wear your eyebrows, you are more than welcome to wear them filled in.

✻ If you have regular maintenance done to your brows (threading, waxing, tweezing, etc.) make sure to do it at least a week before your appointment.

For lashline

appointments

✻ Do not tint, lighten or bleach your brows before your appointment. Lightening the hair and lamination are both chemical processes and will compromise the quality of your brow hair and can cause excessive breakage and damage. Tinting before lamination can lift the color up to 2 shades, or back to your natural color.

✻ If you use henna to tint your brows, you will want to wait 10-16 weeks before/after your lamination to use those products.

✻ If your brow tint contains metallic salts, you will need to wait at least 3 weeks before/after your lamination to use these products.

✻ If you use brow growth serums, please seek medical (dermatologist) advice before scheduling your lamination appointment.
There are many serums that contain different ingredients/formulas and I cannot offer specific conclusive advice on pairing them with lamination.

✻ Do not use sunless tanners 24 hours before or after your appointment.

✻ Do not use BHA’s, AHA’s or any type of exfoliant in the brow area for at least 72 hours before or after your appointment.

✻ Do not wear ANY eye makeup to your appointment. Especially mascara!

✻ I cannot tattoo your lashline if you have lash extensions on. Lashes need to be removed at least 48 hours before your appointment.

✻ It is common to experience sensitivity to light after a lashline procedure. Make sure to bring a pair of sunglasses to wear home, just in case!
